TBE instant granules

TBE is a commonly used nucleic acid electrophoresis buffer in biology, mainly used for agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA . TBE is a white to off-white fast-dissolving granule. TBE fast-dissolving granules refer to the TBE buffer ( 89 mM Tris , 89 mM boric acid, 2 mM EDTA ) used in daily experimental work presented in the form of fast-dissolving granules. TBE fast-dissolving granules are simple and fast to use, without the need for tedious preparation processes such as calculation, weighing, and pH adjustment. They can be used immediately after taking them. In addition, the standardized large-scale production process of TBE fast-dissolving granules can avoid errors in the manual preparation process and ensure the intra-batch and inter-batch stability of the buffer. TBE has a strong buffering capacity and has a better separation effect on fragments less than 1 kb when electrophoresing, and is also suitable for longer electrophoresis. TBE is prone to high electroosmosis when used in agarose gels, and because it interacts with agarose to form non-covalently bound tetrahydroxyborate complexes, the recovery rate of DNA fragments is reduced. Therefore, it is not recommended for the recovery of DNA fragments.
